Krishnan Guru-Murthy spoke to General Sir Richard Dannatt and about whether Britain is spending its money in the right places when it comes to the armed forces?

"Many of the decisions that underpinned procurement decisions in the past were legacy decisions from the cold war period.
"The world is very different, the world is very post 9-11 and we know that.
"We need to adapt, and adapt as quickly as possible, and that means we do have to make some major decisions in defence about some of the capabilities that we've got, about previously planning to acquire and making sure we've got the right things for near to medium term."
