Sir Menzies Campbell 'must do better' - that's the message from Liberal Democrat president Simon Hughes.

His thinly-veiled threat, comes as opinion polls show support for the Lib Dems is as low as 11 per cent.

But Sir Ming, who has been speaking in Suffolk, shows no sign of giving in, declaring there is 'no vacancy' for his post and vowing to fight on, even though the next election could now be years away.
