Protesters released on bail

A pre-emptive police operation again raises questions about the tactics of the authorities in dealing with environmental protest.

One hundred and fourteen protesters have been released on bail after they were arrested in a mass police raid on a school in Nottinghamshire that they had occupied last night.

Police suspect the group of conspiring to commit trespass at the nearby Ratcliffe power station.
